Load a Minecraft skin by username: get any skin
Want to look at a player's skin, save it or use it as a base for your own? On Java Edition you can do this with the username, without a file and without signing in.
How it works
- Open the Craftory skin editor.
- Enter the Java username and load the skin.
- Rotate the 3D model and look at the front and back.
- Save the skin as a PNG or keep painting right away.
What it is useful for
- You lost your own skin file and want it back.
- You want to adjust a friend's skin as a base.
- You are looking for inspiration and want to see how skins are built.
If it does not work
- Check the spelling of the name. It has to be exact.
- Loading by name works for Java Edition. Bedrock names (gamertags) are not supported.
- If the player has not set their own skin, you get the default skin.
Fair use
Skins are the work of their creators. Use other people's skins as a base or to look at, and do not pass them off as your own.
